I followed this example And want the pagination to be like this

But it appears like this in my website

Pls open dev tool (F12) in your page, reload the page, then go to tab Network to see if all resources (css, js files) are loaded (no red line).

Thanks, I added 

"themeBase"=>"bs4",

Then it worked fine.
